Perfect for a budget traveler. They even upgraded my room to a kitchenette for no additional charge so they made a great first impression. Great location that gives you more of an authentic Mexico feel but is still within a lot of great tourist spots as well like the Iglesia and the Malecon. There's a lot of great street food in the area and I noticed a few tiendas that a offered laundry services nearby. Sure, it's on a busy street and there can be a lot of noise, but I've often found that loud music from your neighbors, random gatherings of spirited people and just locals hanging out as they hawk their goods is a fun part of the Mexican culture that is really different from what most of us are used to. I enjoy it but I can definitely understand how first time Mexico visitors or people that have only stayed at high priced all inclusive type hotels might be sensitive to it.

Great location in the middle of PV's Zona Romantica. Lots of great places in walking distance - best beaches, public markets, old town, river park, boardwalk, restaurants of all sorts from taco stands to formal dining, from mainly tourists only to locals' favorites. Staff was friendly and efficient. Fun and tasteful art theme throughout hotel and rooms. Great view over town towards ocean. Spectacular sunsets. Incredible value for the money.
Street noise. This didn't bother us much because we knew it would be an urban experience on one of the busiest streets in Old Vallarta. The many public buses can be noisy, but eventually it just washed off us as though being near the surf.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
